No player or no team can win a match without following the laws of the game, therefore, instilling the values of cooperation, discipline and obedience to students. In addition, playing team sports also teaches student to work cooperatively with others, helping them learn to ignore individual interests for the sake of the goal of the whole team.

Another important contribution of sports to education is that it provides students an outlet to release their suppressed energy. School can be a stressful environment for students but sports enable them to deal with the pressure. It also helps students remain in control of their emotion. This is because by allowing students to direct their suppressed energy to their respective game, their tendency to become irritative, violent, and short-tempered will be prevented. Moreover, playing sports games also give students a good leisure time, giving them something to enjoy about going to school.
